Legal & Political Science Degrees

Can law classes be taken online?

How would you like to get a law degree without entering a classroom? You can earn an online law degree by completing the work required in your virtual classroom. There are two different options for earning a Juris Doctor degree online:

Qualify to sit for the bar exam and ultimately practice law in your state.
The other option is for those who have an interest in the law but don't want to be practicing attorneys. These jobs include paralegals.

Know which option you are interested in before taking classes and be sure that the program you take will qualify you to sit for your state's bar exam. For online law degrees, students can expect to use the same course books as those used for in-class legal programs. Classroom instruction and tutorials are replicated for online learning through a web conferencing and video lectures. In many cases, the online law school features professors, faculty and guest speakers from the most prestigious law firms in the country.
