Medical Billing and Coding
A Medical Billing & Coding Professional is one who likes the medical field, but prefers to work not with patients, but with patients’ data.
This type of individual is responsible, organized and can retain large amounts of information–definitely someone you want on your Trivial Pursuit team. They multi-task well, enjoy reading, and like to use the computer. What Kind of Work Do We Prepare You To Do?
Upon graduation, you will be qualified to assemble patient information before and after treatment, recording their symptoms and medical history, the results of their exams, x-ray reports, lab tests, diagnoses and treatment plans. Your duties are to evaluate records for completeness and ensure that essential info is in the computer.
You may also analyze data to help improve patient care, to control costs, for use in research, and more.
About High Tech Institute
HTI is dedicated to teaching students what they need to know, not what we want them to learn. And that’s an important distinction. Here’s why:
So many schools develop their training programs based on their own arbitrary opinions of what constitutes a good education. We develop our programs based on the real-world training and qualifications that employers like to see when hiring.
We know students need a valuable career focused education. We know they need a top notch student services department. And we know they need highly-focused, job-relevant courses.
