About
People in Electronics Technology are the type of people who can hook up a home stereo in minutes without looking at instructions. They enjoy fixing things, they’re fascinated by how things work, and their hobbies include computers.
They may be interested in math, might enjoy science fiction movies, and possibly read technical and scientific magazines.
Your training will qualify you to install, maintain and repair electronic equipment like computers, consumer electronics like stereos, and office equipment. You’ll know how check for common causes of trouble, and how to use diagnostic and hand tools to repair problems.
Plus, you’ll be taught to repair problems caused by malfunctions in individual electronic units, circuits, and in complex systems such as local area networks (LANS).
